SUMMARY:Patrons Dinner - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Doncaster Chamber Patrons Dinners are intentionally designed as small\, carefully curated gatherings of senior leaders. With a limited number of guests around the table\, the focus is on creating the space for open\, honest and meaningful conversation.\n\n \n\nEach dinner is centred around a distinguished guest\, drawn from senior figures across business\, policy\, and national leadership. Previous speakers have included senior national figures such as Katie Day (Transport for the North) and Shevaun Haviland (British Chambers of Commerce). From those shaping skills and industrial policy to those leading large-scale infrastructure\, investment\, and place-based growth\, guests bring first-hand insight that goes beyond the headlines and into the realities shaping the economic and political landscape.\n\n \n\nConversation is woven throughout the evening\, taking place naturally over a three-course dinner and drinks. This creates the conditions for genuine exchange\, challenge\, and reflection in real time. Guests are encouraged to contribute\, question\, and share their own perspectives\, creating a dynamic and high-trust environment where relationships are strengthened and ideas can be explored in confidence.\n\n \n\nOur upcoming Patrons Dinner on 16 July 2026 will be hosted at Rossington Hall. This striking Victorian country estate\, set within expansive grounds on the edge of Doncaster\, offers a sense of occasion and privacy well suited to the evening's format. With its grand interiors\, historic character and exclusive setting\, it provides a distinctive backdrop for what promises to be a memorable dinner.\n\n \n\nWe are pleased to be in discussion with Matthew Elliott\, Baron Elliott of Mickle Fell as our guest speaker. A Member of the House of Lords and an experienced political strategist\, Lord Elliott has played a prominent role in national policy and referendum campaigns\, and brings a deep understanding of the political and economic forces shaping the UK. His perspective promises to offer valuable insight and provoke thoughtful discussion around the table.\n\n\n\n\nAgenda\n\n6:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Arrival\, networking\, drinks & canapes\n\n6:30 pm: Welcome \n\n6:40 pm: Guest Speaker\n\n7:00 pm: Q& A\n\n7:10 pm: Two course meal with wine and tea/coffee \n\n8:45 pm - 9:00 pm: Close\n\n\n\n\nMenu\n\nStarter \n\nSalmon Parfait \n\nCreamy salmon parfait\, wrapped in fragrant smoked salmon\, finished with a rich creme fraiche\, served with granary bread\n\n\n\nMain \n\nBeef Fillet Medallions served with sauteed potatoes\, tossed with roasted sweet red peppers\, red onions\, mushrooms and tenderstem broccoli with a red wine jus. \n\n\n\nDessert\n\nEaton Mess\n\n\n\nNB: Please make us aware of any dietary requirements on booking.\n\nTo secure your place at the patron's dinner please contact us at events@doncaster-chamber.co.uk\n\n\n\nPart of City of Doncaster Council's Business Insight Programme
