Principal Contractor Competence and Legal Duties

With the ascendancy of the Building Safety Act it’s more important than ever to understand our legal obligations as a principal contractor and how that relates to competence and best practice project management procedures.

As principal contractors we need to objectively evaluate our roles and responsibilities, processes and procedures. Are they compliant? Do they mitigate risk? Do they align with competency requirements?

Candidates will only be certified as a Principal Contractor after successfully completing the CIOB Principal Contractor Competency Certification Scheme (PCCCS).
