Crown Bawtry Collection launches expanded Race for Life team after raising nearly £3,000 for charity
The Crown Bawtry Collection is proud to announce the launch of its Race for Life 2026 fundraising team, led by Charlotte Lister, following two successful years of participation which have seen Team Crown Hotel raise almost £3,000 for life-saving cancer research.
After successfully building strong internal teams and seeing the positive impact of collective fundraising, the business has made the decision to expand the initiative across the wider Crown Bawtry Collection network, encouraging local businesses, partners and the community to get involved.
Charlotte Lister, who is spearheading the campaign, said:
“Over the last two years, running Race for Life with our teams has been incredibly rewarding, not just in the funds raised, but in the team spirit and community connection it creates. This year, we want to go even bigger. We’re inviting businesses, colleagues, friends and families to join us, whether they walk, jog or run. Every step makes a difference.”
The team will be taking part in several events organised by Cancer Research UK as part of the national Race for Life campaign.
Events the Crown Bawtry Collection team will attend:
- Pretty Muddy 5K – Sheffield
Sunday 6 June - 3K, 5K or 10K – Doncaster
Sunday 14 June - 5K or 10K – Clumber Park
Sunday 28 June
Participants will receive their own individual fundraising page while contributing to a shared team fundraising target of £5,000.
Everyone is encouraged to aim to raise a minimum of £50, although every pound raised will help support vital cancer research and services.
