Join Mind Wellbeing's Mission to Tackle the Mental Health Crisis by Taking on Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Mind Wellbeing is launching a vital crowdfunding campaign to provide mental health training to local schools, free of charge. This comes at a time when the UK faces an unprecedented mental health crisis among children. According to recent figures, nearly 500,000 children are currently waiting to start treatment for mental health issues, with 160,000 of them having been on waiting lists for over a year. These startling numbers reflect a system overwhelmed by demand, leaving thousands of children and young people without timely support.
The mental health crisis has only worsened in the aftermath of the pandemic and rising cost-of-living pressures. Children experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles are waiting far too long for help, leading to severe consequences for their development and well-being. Many schools are struggling to access the resources they need to support their students, with budget constraints limiting the delivery of much-needed training.
Mind Wellbeing’s mission is to help break this cycle by equipping children with the tools and awareness needed to manage both their internal and external worlds. Our training focuses on prevention, empowering young people with emotional resilience and self-management skills. Several schools are already lined up to receive this training, but we need your support to make this initiative accessible to as many as possible.
As part of our fundraising efforts, our team will be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks on the 19th October to raise funds for delivering this essential training to schools. We invite you to join us—whether by climbing alongside us or through donations. Together, we can help ensure that no child is left waiting for the mental health support they deserve.
Please support our cause and make a difference in the lives of local children. Every donation helps us deliver critical training and change the future of mind wellbeing in education.
