Volunteer As A School Governor

As a Chamber, we always encourage our members to get actively involved with the local community and to collaborate with partners, in a way that is mutually beneficial for all.

Volunteering to be a School Governor is an incredibly fulfilling way to do this, as it allows you to share your unique insights with, and impart your business expertise to, those who are teaching the next generation of young people.

Being a governor is an intensely rewarding experience, as you will get to shape the education experience for children in your local community, by helping run schools at a board level. Among other things, you’ll be influencing strategy, asking important questions of the leadership team, and devising solutions to problems, all while making a real positive impact.
