Active Fusion Shows Support For International Women’s Day

Youth-centred charity, Active Fusion, is set to hold a competition in support of International Women’s Day 2023

Lindsy James, Founder and Director of the organisation, has dedicated 24 years of her professional career inspiring young people to “be the best they can be” through sport and physical activity.

She delivers highly engaging keynote presentations using real life examples that challenge audiences to reflect on what their own purpose is in life whilst relating this to her own personal journey. Her career spans several sectors including education, charitable and sport. Lindsy is passionate about improving the physical health, mental well-being and life chances of our current and future generations of children and young people.

Collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity is what makes International Women's Day impactful. That’s just one reason why Lindsy is set to offer a free, motivational presentation for one Active Fusion Partner or Apprenticeship School and one local business in support of this years’ International Womens’ Day.

She is the ultimate inspiring female role model, always leading by example. Lindsy is often found pushing her own sporting limits to demonstrate that anything is possible, breaking the Guinness World Record in 2016 for the fastest women pushing a pram and baby over the half marathon distance.

She defies many barriers, showing that age, running a successful growing charity and being a parent should not define what you can achieve in life. Lindsy represents the Great British Age Group Team (vet 45) in the Duathlon becoming double world champion in 2021 and 2022 and European silver medallist in 2022.

This year’s International Women’s Day centred around applauding equality for women in sport, so who better to take a stance than Lindsy?

Did we mention Lindsy is Yorkshire born and bred? Why does that matter? Because she is down to earth, straight-talking and above all super friendly.

To get involved with a chance of winning this unique prize, simply complete the entry form and keep your eyes peeled for the prize draw on Active Fusion socials on 1st March 2023. Find out more information about how you can support International Women’s Day 2023 here.
