Run the Great North Run 2026 for YMCA Doncaster

YMCA Doncaster is inviting local people to take on the challenge of the Great North Run 2026 while raising vital funds to support young people across the city.

Taking place on Sunday 13 September 2026, the Great North Run is the UK’s largest half-marathon, with thousands of runners setting off from Newcastle upon Tyne and finishing along the stunning South Shields coastline.

YMCA Doncaster has a limited number of charity places available and is encouraging anyone looking for a new challenge – whether individuals, groups of friends, or colleagues – to apply to join #TeamYMCADoncaster.

By running for YMCA Doncaster, participants will help raise funds to support the charity’s work providing safe accommodation, youth support, and opportunities for children and young people in the local community.

Charity runners will receive support throughout their journey, including fundraising advice, resources, and encouragement from the YMCA Doncaster team.
