Our Lunch & Learn events combine networking, great food and the opportunity to take a step back from the working day to learn something new.

As part of our Women in Business programme, this session focuses on workplace wellbeing. In a busy working environment, it's easy to put learning and personal development to one side, but taking the time to build your knowledge can make a real difference to both you and your business.

Workplace wellbeing is about more than individual health. It's about creating environments where people can perform at their best, feel supported and stay engaged. For employers, investing in wellbeing can improve productivity, employee retention and reduce absence.

The event is made up of three interactive workshops, each exploring a different aspect of workplace wellbeing:

Financial wellbeing – building confidence around money, including financial planning and pensions, pay and negotiation, business finances, and employee financial wellbeing.

Mental wellbeing – developing healthier workplace cultures through resilience, managing workload, setting boundaries and preventing burnout.

Physical wellbeing – practical ways to improve health, energy and performance.

After the workshops, you'll enjoy lunch and dedicated networking time, giving you the opportunity to discuss what you've learnt, share experiences and make new connections with other women in business.

Whether you're looking to pick up practical ideas for your workplace or simply make time to focus on your own development, you'll leave with new knowledge, useful contacts and ideas you can put into practice.

Physical Wellbeing Workshop
Carly Adkins, Managing Director, Flex Wellbeing & Fitness
Carly is the founder and owner of Flex Wellbeing & Fitness Ltd, a Personal Training gym in Doncaster built around one simple belief: everyone deserves to feel confident, empowered and supported in any gym environment At age 41, after struggling with obesity, low confidence and feeling like she was ‘just a mum’, Carly decided she needed to make a change.
After joining a local gym and becoming, what can only be described as addicted to lifting, Carly experienced first-hand the physical and mental benefits that strength training, consistency and a supportive environment can bring. It quite literally changed her life, and the lives of her children. What started as a personal journey developed into a passion for helping others achieve their own goals
Through Flex, Carly provides inclusive training for all abilities and ages, from teenagers learning to lift safely to adults looking to improve their strength, fitness and confidence. Flex offers group sessions, small-group personal training, lifting, circuits and boxing, alongside nutrition and training support. Carly is passionate about creating a welcoming, non-judgemental community where people can train without intimidation and make sustainable changes that genuinely improve their lives. Her mission is simple: to help people become stronger, healthier and more confident — both inside and outside the gym
